PLEASE NOTE : This is a live record of recent atrocities committed by the Israeli occupation forces and illegal Jewish settlers against the Palestinian people, including the killing of a 14yr old Palestinian boy who was shot dead by Israeli soldiers on the 14th April and a 19 month old baby girl who died in Gaza on 1st April because Israeli authorities repeatedly refused to issue a permit to allow her to travel for medical treatment at Jerusalem’s al-Makassed hospital.
We’ve endeavored to include every incident reported by news sources since 28th March 2022 but this is by no means a complete record as some incidents have not been reported in the news. Other stories are filtering through from contacts within the Jenin refugee camp, such as the staff at the Al Tawfawk Children’s Centre who, over the last month, have reported witnessing Israeli soldiers shooting at Palestinians and then blocking ambulances from reaching them so they bleed to death on the ground as soldiers stand over them. They also report how children at the Tawfawk centre fall asleep on chairs during the day because they’re too scared to sleep in their homes at night as soldiers raid their homes with dogs. They report how many of the children are suffering from inhaling tear gas and how some of them are traumatized because they’ve witnessed close family members getting attacked by Israeli soldiers (one child reports witnessing soldiers break his father’s neck in front him). Another child at the Al Tawfawk Children’s Centre was seriously injured during a raid where he lost his eye. On the 10th April, staff at the Al Tawfawk Children’s Centre reported that Israeli soldiers shot out their windows and then threw in tear gas canisters, even though there were children inside at the time. These reports, and more, are recorded on Tony Greenstein’s GoFundMe page – Help Keep Open Jenin’s Al Tawfawk Centre – and I would encourage you all to please consider donating as they need that money for food and medical supplies for the hundreds of children under their care. You can also contact Tony at tonygreenstein111@gmail.com if you’d like to support this campaign directly.
Anyone aware of other incidents that we may have missed is encouraged to please contact us by email – admin@spotlight-newspaper.co.uk – to report the incident so that we can include it in this record.
This record will be updated daily!
