I’ve been following events in Palestine very closely for some months now and have been shocked to my core as to what I’ve found out. I’ve frequently reported on illegal Israeli settlers attacking Palestinians, destroying their crops & olive groves, stealing their water, beating up children, daubing racist symbols and phrases on their property and taking over their land, assisted by gun toting Israeli forces…

I’ve reported on Israeli forces beating up, locking up and killing Palestinian men, women and children and on the Israeli authorities tearing down Palestinian homes, destroying their hospitals, denying them access to proper medical care, denying them access to water and stealing their land.
I’ve watched, over the years, how criminal governments, both in the west and in the middle east, have turned their back on the Palestinian plight for their own personal gain.
I’ve witnessed big businesses supporting the colonisation of Palestine and the Nazi fascist apartheid regime that calls itself the Israeli government. Even Google refuses to acknowledge that Palestine actually exists and has removed it from its maps.
Personally, I can no more bring myself to acknowledge the right to exist of the white European colony that calls itself Israel than I could the white fascist colonial apartheid regime that ruled South Africa.
Recently, I’ve even witnessed BDS coordinators and supporters being arrested and locked up by Israeli police in a pathetic and insidious move to try and intimidate the movement.
I genuinely believe it is our duty to remind the world that Palestine DOES exist and that the Palestinian people are suffering awful human rights abuses, at the hands of their colonial rulers, on a daily basis. I also believe that we should be encouraging anyone who supports the plight of the Palestinian people to support BDS and not just by boycotting Israeli goods but by donating to the movement. Now is the time to do it as well, as Palestinians are not only reeling from continued daily abuse and threats but from yet more betrayal by so-called Arab allies. It’s vital that we send them a message to let them know that WE have NOT forgotten them and that we are still fighting for them. Of course, a rise in support for BDS also sends a clear message to the colonial authorities that the more they attack BDS staff and human rights activists the more we will support Palestine and the BDS movement.
